Wellness begins with small things, and a belief that you are worth taking care of. Check out these six steps. See what is doable in your day and remember to go with the flow.
Create a positive morning routine.
Start your day with something that sparks joy in you
Have a cup of coffee or tea in your favorite mug
Meditate…clear your brain
Move your body…Simply take a 10-minute walk or choose your favorite
Think of life as a flow, not a balancing act.
Embrace the reality that humans are not compartmentalized beings
Be present in each moment and prioritize the greatest need
Drink water.
Water benefits the immune system and overall health, and we all need more of it. Prepare by keeping a water bottle at work, one that you like and know you'll use.
Breathe
Your brain and body need oxygen to function.
Stressed, body tightening? PAUSE and take three deep belly breaths
Computer yoga (yoga done at your desk)
Take breaks
Take 10 minutes to reconnect with yourself by incorporating things you enjoy (healthy snack, short walk etc.)
Know when obligations are done
Leave yourself open. Don’t take work or other obligations to the next part of the day. Be present in each moment
