Dry Sauna Benefits

A dry sauna is a small, enclosed room that is heated. You can typically find access to a saunas within local gyms and spas. The temperature can raise to anywhere between 100-150 degrees Fahrenheit. Typically, studies show that the most benefits are received between 15-20 minutes. However, connect and listen to your body as this experience is meant to be relaxing both physically and spiritually.

1. Ease of muscle tension along with relaxing your nerves. sitting in a sauna a couple of times a week is a great combination to your weekly chiropractic adjustments.

2. Sweat! With that also comes a raise in our body temperature. It’s almost simulating a fever-like state. Our immune systems are then activated, which allows our bodies to get rid of toxins and heavy metals.

3. Sleep insomnia or with poor quality of sleep. Saunas are known to promote better sleep and help with insomnia. Saunas not only help to relax our bodies but our minds as well, reducing anxiety and stress. Melatonin is released into the body while exiting the sauna, this causes one to naturally feel sleepy. The body also releases endorphins which are the natural chemicals that promote happiness!

4. Circulation. Saunas use increases and improves circulation causing better blood flow. When the blood is flowing, you are able to get better oxygen to these areas where pain is occurring. This can help with pain relief.
